Meet Hailey Morris, LCMHC, she/her/hers

Therapy in Chapel Hill and Online Across NC and SC

You can have days filled with laughter and joy again.

You didn’t expect life to look like this, and you want to get back to days filled with self-confidence and ease. The constant worrying and overthinking have started to feel like too much. You don’t have to go through this alone.

Clients choose to work with me because they are looking for long-term change, for themselves or their children. The people I work with want to get to the root of the problem and they want to take back control of their lives. I will work collaboratively with you and your child to create a plan that is tailored to you and your goals.

therapist Hailey Morris

Research shows that the foundation for effective therapy is a strong relationship with your therapist, built on trust, understanding, and acceptance. My clients know they have a compassionate and secure environment where they can navigate their emotions and achieve their goals at a pace that feels right for them. I aim to be a “real person” during sessions and foster an authentic environment where you feel comfortable being your true self. I am committed to fostering inclusivity and operate from an anti-racist, LGBTQ+ inclusive, neurodivergent-affirming, polyamorous and kink-affirming, and social justice-driven perspective. In discussions surrounding food and body image, I embrace a weight-neutral, non-diet approach that integrates intuitive eating and Health at Every Size (HAES) principles.

What does working together look like?

I believe the path to change involves examining both current circumstances and how your past has influenced the present.

Maybe you’ve talked with your friends, read self-help books, and listened to podcasts or maybe you’re a stressed out parent feeling lost on what to do for your child. Maybe you’ve tried going to therapy but it didn’t seem to go deeper than the surface and didn’t result in consistent changes. Whatever you’ve experienced, you’re feeling stuck and overwhelmed.

I will craft an approach specific to you or your child that will include looking at your past, present, and future -  at a pace you’re comfortable with. Whether you are considering EMDR or traditional talk therapy - our plan will be tailored to fit you and your goals, helping you regain a life full of laughter and ease.

As a therapist trained in EMDR and a variety of trauma-informed modalities, I am here to compassionately explore how your past experiences play into today. Together, we will work to help you build skills, gain insight, and process emotions, ultimately guiding you towards a brighter and more resilient future.

Whether you are an adult with anxiety or the parent of a child with big emotions and disruptive behaviors, I will use a unique approach to help you achieve the best results. My goal is that you feel supported yet challenged and that your child feels they can learn and process their emotions on their level.

Clients describe me as authentic, compassionate, and dedicated to their progress. My role is to meet you exactly where you are. I will assist you in developing the ability to perceive yourself and the world from new perspectives, so you can live a life full of meaning and joy.
